Adventure in the world of Everglow, nestled in delicate balance between the elemental planes. It is a world of magic and mystery, where the fey are in control and the humanoid races are secondary.

Foremost of the fey are Ponykind, who rallied behind their Queen to form the greatest empire Everglow had ever seen. We've brought ponies, griffons, felines, and other strange creatures to life in a world all of their own, where they are the primary PCs.

Don't want to run a game all about ponies? That's alright! Use our post-empire suggestions to add ponies to any other existing world. Many spells, archetypes, and bloodlines are also usable by non ponies or other settings. Yet little attention has been devoted to the ways RPGs have shaped society at large over the last four decades. Role-playing games influenced video game design, have been widely represented in film, television and other media, and have made their mark on education, social media, corporate training and the military.

This collection of new essays illustrates the broad appeal and impact of RPGs. The contributors discuss the myriad subtle and not-so-subtle ways in which the values, concepts and mechanics of RPGs have infiltrated popular culture.

However, this seem directly contradicted by the reality of how it's handled. With one specific exception, I can't find any results that support this claim specifically, a rogue with "rat raised".

This way, you cover all the territory, while not having two completely identical qualities, or one that's twice as effective See more as the other. Granted, I realize that perhaps "country raised" and "circus raised" were intended to help cover the "three favored abilities" portion, but only two stats covered out of six leaves a lot of combinations unavailable strength, dexterity, and wisdom for a ranger, for example. And even so, it leaves humans even weaker than their SRD counterparts At the very least, you should have one upbringing quality avaliable that gives a "one favored ability of choice" option.

My personal vote in that regard would be either "reincarnated" or "prophesied destiny. I can only speak for the 5e stuff, as I've never played PF.

However, within that specific framework, some constructive criticism: 1 Deep Blooded and Thought Tainted p. Call them 'cortex consumers' or maybe 'noggin nibblers' if you insist on letting the computer sort the content automatically by racial ancestry. You might also toss in rodent empathy: You gain advantage to Wisdom Animal Handling when dealing with rodents. It should favor CHA and grant celestial type composite , darkvision, celestial resistance, and the See more light cantrip.

It might not be a full Aasimar by the official rules, but it allows for a wider range of base races than mere humans, so it's actually a step up, in my opinion. By this point you must know the issue. In fact, the genasi subraces can almost be used as individual qualities, as they currently exist. What you need to do is grab a copy of the Elemental Evil Player's Companion and read the second column of page 7 through the end of the first column on page Seriously, it's like 3 pages including a half-page drawing AND a couple of sidebars!

Unlike the other planetouched, Tieflings have become a race unto themselves in this edition, so I'm less critical of splitting up their traits into a couple of qualities.

I would, however, like to suggest an additional option for Dark Blooded based around necrotic damage. You've already used both 'defiler' and 'destroyer', so I'm not sure what to call it. No, that would be acid. Well, whatever. The Always Rising feature should include a once-per-week 'revivify' if your corpse is dumped in a bonfire or if somebody casts 'create bonfire' in the same square as said corpse in the appropriate time period.

You've reversed the traits for these qualities 50 bonus XP if you know why without googling! I find a number of qualities that include traits with the following setup: [Trait A] [Trait B] Dependent or Composite. It might not make much difference in the long run, but I feel certain that choosing wording that minimizes the chance of misunderstanding would be greatly appreciated by those who choose to purchase this product.

Hello there. Quadruped and Four-Legged both fit this bill in every case, I think. Specifically, they have Fingerless Dependent or Composite Without checking the PDF, I can't recall any other qualities that fit the bill off the top of my head. If both races have quadruped, composite activates! If either race has fingerless, dependant activates! If neither is true, no quadruped for you. Note that fingerless itself tends to be composite meaning both have to have it for it to do anything , so if both races have fingerless, but one has quadruped?

You're a quadruped without fingers. Hope that helps. The problem is with the way it's presented. In the latter case, it makes them sound gorilla-like, in that you need all four legs for locomotion, but you still have usable hands. This is perfectly appropriate for dragons and certain other monsters, but not for horses and wolves and such.

Apologies for the confusion. We're here to help with any other confusing tags. In that case, you seriously need to take a second look at the aasimar physical qualities.

Like, try taking a look at the actual game statistics, and try to get anywhere within a mile of it. As it stands, the ones you've put in your book aren't even on the same continent. At the same time, try a rewrite of the genasi qualities air blooded, earth blooded, fire blooded, water blooded, water bodied , with an eye toward a similar goal.

In fact, if there's an official version of any given race, try to get reasonably close to it. Aside from the stuff in the PHB, it seems you intentionally deviate wildly from the official stats. Sometimes you don't even use the right name for the race! For example: catfolk, ifrit, sylph, oread, undine which is a twofer, BTW, since you got the wrong name for two different races with that one!

And for heaven's sake, centaurs HAVE fingers to start with! They should NOT get fingerless composite! Don't get me wrong, I love this book, and I'm trying to See more help you improve it, despite my harsh wording.

I just don't know how so many mistakes could make their way into the finished product. I downloaded this less than 2 days ago, and I've found at least a dozen mistakes, many of which are simply so blatant that it's incomprehensible how so many could slip through the cracks, so long as your fact-checkers have access to the source material. If you cross a centaur with, say, a pony, you end up with no fingers. Cross a centaur with a human, you get fingers!

Hi, one of the writers here, particularly of the 5th edition content. You made a good point about the ordering of a composite or trait dependent, which I have reversed the ordering of in the design doc for future updates. As for the difference between our hybrids and any first party content is mostly due to the constraints of the SRD that this book is released under.

Essentially, we legally cannot refer to any first party content that is not released under the SRD, so instead we converted their rough pathfinder equivalents over to 5th edition. Just curious, but could you maybe give us a page count, please.
